Scientific interests in a nutshell:
My research interests have long been focused on the:
assessment of marine biodiversity, with particular attention to fish fauna and macrozoobenthos;
evaluation of the effectiveness of Marine Protected Areas (sensu lato) and their networks, essential tools for the conservation and eco-sustainable development of the coastal strip;
support for the sustainable management of both local small-scale and recreational/sport fishing activities;
support to the management of fishing chains for a more sustainable consumption of fish species.
